Intro

An author with one product and one goal: send readers to Amazon. No catalogue, no sign-up, no funnel — a stranger has to be convinced by a children's book in under a minute. I built the page in Webflow on a template base, restructured it around the book's content, and shipped it end-to-end: domain, hosting, SEO and launch.

Approach

Built on a Webflow template, restructured and restyled for the client's content and conversion goal — the pragmatic choice for a single-product launch on a tight budget.

What I did

  • Adapted a Webflow template into a single-product book landing — restructured sections, replaced the visual system with the book's own illustrations
  • Built out responsive layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoints
  • Set the full content structure — hero, story sections, testimonials, feature grid, author bio, audience segments
  • Configured on-page SEO: meta titles and descriptions, Open Graph and Twitter card tags for link previews
  • Connected the custom domain and published to Webflow hosting
  • Integrated the client's Amazon product links and social profiles

Design decisions

  • One action, repeated nine times. Buy the book appears after every section. On a single-product page, the visitor should never have to scroll back to convert — whenever they're persuaded, the button is already there.
  • Illustrations from the book as the visual system. Rather than commissioning separate web graphics, the page uses the book's own artwork throughout — so the visitor is previewing the product while reading about it.
  • Anchor navigation instead of pages. All content lives on one URL; the nav scrolls rather than loads. Faster, and no path off the conversion page.
  • Audience stated explicitly. A Who Is This Book For block naming six reader types — families, animal lovers, teachers, gift-givers. Gift-buyers in particular need permission to be sure, and this section gives it.
  • Social proof at two lengths. Long, detailed reviews sit beside short one-line ones, so the section reads as a real spread of readers rather than a set of curated blurbs.
  • Open Graph configured deliberately. The book cover and full description are set as the share image and text — the page was made to be sent between people, which is how a children's book actually spreads.
