Must-have apps in my phone

I will not describe in detail every feature that I like. But I will simply describe my general condition when I use them. What do all these applications have in common? There I never think about design as such. How to find some option or how to set the desired color. They are intuitive and easy for me. Nothing extra. I just focus on exactly my work - create a note, add an appointment to the calendar, write a message, and so on. As a designer, I strive for this approach in my work.

So...

Calendar

I try to plan my affairs. Therefore, it is simply necessary for me to use the calendar.

When I add an event, the default notification is for a week. Every week I look at my calendar to remind myself of what's in store for me this week. It's even better to have a synchronized calendar with your family if you're scheduling time together.

Gmail

I'm used to always being in touch. Therefore, it is important for me to have an e-mail box in my phone.

I can write or reply to an email at any time of the day. At night or early in the morning 🙂
Why gmail? Because it supports integration with other Google products like google docs, you can fumble for links, a lively and understandable interface for me.

Clock

In this application, it is important for me to have options in different time zones.

Since I work with clients from all over the world, it is important for me to synchronize the time for calls, for example. And of course, alarm clocks 🙂

Podcasts

I listen to podcasts to learn foreign languages. In order for the brain to get used to a foreign accent.

There are a few of my favorite podcasts. It's also convenient when you can make a list of them.

Maps

I think there is no need to tell in detail why this application is in unfamiliar places 🙂

Instagram

I used to print photos or store them on an external drive.

But as practice shows, I most often review the instagram feed to update my life memories. Therefore, Instagram for me is like a diary of life in moments 🙂

Nova Poshta

The most popular postal service in Ukraine. I often use it. Simple unobtrusive interface.

Some graphics and animation. What I like the most is the Micro Interactions features, which I am a huge fan of 🙂

Evernote

These are applications on par with Instagram, which I have been using for almost 15 years.

Simple and convenient notepad for notes. I especially like the integration of capturing content from a web page into a notepad.

Tripadvisor

An excellent informant of various interesting places on the planet.

For me, it is important that there are reviews and recommendations and real photos. Plus, there you can see the work schedule, address and by clicking on the address immediately open the route in Maps.

Viber

So far the best instant messenger for me. There is the possibility of video calls, fast enough.

There are stickers. Create groups, turn off alerts. I like that, unlike Telegram, I don’t have news feeds there that clog my personal correspondence.
