Secrets of Omniscience

In a small town called Sarcastic Street lived the smartest people in the world. They were so smart that they could know everything. Whatever, even what they didn’t know, they knew that they didn’t know.

The main guru of omniscience in this city was named Sharp Tong. His house was built from books, and every corner reminded him that he always had answers to all questions. Sharp was not shy about sharing his knowledge, even if his friends secretly believed that he was just an inventive dreamer.

One day a new resident came, named Irony. She came to Sharp with a grin on her face and said, "Sharp, tell me how to become as wise as you. How to know all the answers?"

Sharp looked at her with contempt, which he constantly tried to hide. “Oh, Irony, to become wise, you just need to know that you know everything. And never, under any circumstances, allow the thought that you don’t know something. This is important.”

Irony wondered: “So, to be smart, you need to pretend that you are smarter than everyone else, even if in fact you are in the dark?” Sharp nodded and added, "Absolutely. Always act like you know what's going on, even if you don't know why you're here."

Thus, Irony became Sharp's student, trying to penetrate the secrets of omniscience. She mastered the art of the raised eyebrow and the ability to brush off questions, and soon became the most sarcastic resident of Sarcastic Street.

And of course everyone knew that they knew that no one could know everything, but that would have been too easy to admit.
